Quality 2 - Wedding in Germany
Let me tell you about three big surprises that came out of our wedding, and then I'll let some choice pictures speak for themselves.
1. The priest that officiated the ceremony was amazing and God's angel on earth, I swear. He was seriously kind, wonderfully patient, and very humorous. Fr. Breidenstein was sympathetic when he first spoke with me about my parents' attitude towards the wedding, and during the ceremony he was witty and used parts of my blog to drive the point of how important this was to Christian and me home.
2. Our family's attitude towards the whole thing - not only was my mom and family really supportive, my mom sat me and Christian down to talk about how important our love was and how important family is. My brothers also gave great speeches, as did Christian's dad Peter and brother, Thommy. Christian's entire family, especially his mom, helped in setting the entire event up, from the flowers to the reception to the food - we cannot thank them enough. Love you guys.
3. Christian loves me. I love him. I'm glad we were able to share that with our closest family and friends. That night meant a lot of us because everyone who has ever seen us "grow up" had also seen how important we are to each other. It truly was a meaningful event.

Quality 1 - Moving House
It's never easy to say goodbye to a flat (apartment) that's seen you through two years of growing love. Our one bedroom on Exeter Road was Christian and my first apartment together, the first place we brought our little boy (dog) Warrick home to, and the one place we went home to after we got civilly wed.
Unfortunately, due to changes in work circumstances, we had to find a place closer to the office. It took us two weeks and five days, three flat viewings in the area of our choice, before we settled on a quiet residential street in Clapham Junction. It was a small, two bedroom house, with a small garden in the back. One look and Christian and I went, okay, this is it.
Cleaning up the old flat was hell, and although the bathroom was pristine, the former landlord insisted we clean the windows from the OUTSIDE as well. A balancing act was required, and I unwillingly had to volunteer for the task! We had a friendly man with a van and his team come (guys, if you are moving and need a good go to guy, I highly recommend Polite Michael), and they helped us load and move in a matter of less than three hours (thanks to London traffic rather than the amount of stuff).
One year on, and we've taken to the neighbourhood like fish to water. Christian and Warrick enjoy the proximity to the park, and I love the fact that we are just around the corner from one of the best brunch spots in London (PLUS - they welcome dogs!). We've made a few friends in the park, and we've hosted several fun barbecues as well. While we know that one day we will have to move again (we are only renting at the moment), for now, this is a great place to call home.

Quantity
It's been more than a year since I last posted - and there's been two reasons for that: Quantity and Quality!
Let me fill you in on Quantity first.
There were a number of events that took place since the last post, that although will be written up in more detail in other entries, deserve a summary mention here.
1) Moving house - goodbye North West London, Hello South West London!
2) Church wedding in Germany - 90 guests, two venues to worry about...first meeting of my family and Christian's family (sans my dad).
3) New job - starting for a new company, skipping the honeymoon
4) Lisa and Jaime's wedding in Brazil - another trip, another fun week!
5) First Christmas as part of the Funke family and First Christmas of Christian as part of the Ng family - 10 days, two countries, more than 30 hours of travelling.
6) Jacob's wedding in Manila - the Funkes first time in the Philippines
7) Visiting Jacob and Chico in Florence - reliving the age of the Renaissance
8) BARBADOS!!! - long overdue honeymoon!!!
So you see, there's been a lot of write about, but these same things have given me less time to focus on the blog. In order to make up for that (excuse) and to jump start new posts (and eradicate my laziness), I'll be detailing each of these stories in detail, I promise.
